A Jewish community was founded in Horn in the second half of the 19th century; it included the district of Horn.
In 1932, there were 249 Jewish inhabitants in Horn. The community maintained several communal institutions and organizations: a prayer house, a cemetery, and a Chevra Kaddisha ((burial organization for the Jewish community).
Among the rabbis of the community were Dr. M. G. Gehrer from Vienna, Samuel Neubauer from Krems who was also a teacher of religion. Alfred Neufeld was community’s cantor.
